At approximately 8 minutes into this podcast, there is an interview of a British journalist, Susannah Savage, who writes for The Economist on the human rights violations in Bangladesh. She describes how she was picked up by RAB and others and interrogated and intimidated. Had she been a Bangladeshi, she may not have lived to tell her story.

The Coalition for Human Rights & Democracy in Bangladesh (CHRD Bangladesh) is a US-based nonprofit organization, but its scholarly membership spans three continents. It was born on February of 2021 and is fast expanding. The members come with a wealth of knowledge and experience in wide-ranging fields which include academics, research, engineering, medicine, journalism, political activities and freedom fighting in the Bangladesh Liberation War. The common factor that binds them together is their deep sense of patriotism and commitment to the democracy and wellbeing of Bangladesh and its future generations.
